Weekend at IKDC, Lund

NodiCHI had a great start this weekend: on Saturday there was the doctorial consortia and on Sunday there were lots of workshops and tutorials. During the weekend the we had the pleasure to be in the Ingvar Kamprad Designcentrum (IKDC). Ingvar Kamprad is the founder of IKEA by the way, who actually made this center possible by making a donation. He wanted the center to be named “The Bridge”… a brigde between designers, engineers etc… Well, it seems like besindes the name, this idea worked out realy well

nordiCHI – prelude

I got accepted as student volunteer at nordiCHI 2008. This is absolutely cool since I am living in Stockholm at the moment and so it is not very far from here. The venue of nordiCHI is Lund, which is in the south of Sweden near Denmark.

Today I got a mail, which contained a really nice piece of information: the SVs will stay at the Trainhostel in Lund. This seems to be a really cool place and I am definetly looking forward going to this conference!
